The Long County School System encourages our parents and guardians to discuss the dangers of eating or inhaling unknown substances with our students. Certain candies, foods, beverages, and vapes can contain very dangerous substances that can cause harm to and compromise the health of our children. Please reiterate the importance of never eating, drinking, or inhaling any items that are obtained from strangers or other students. Additionally, please be informed that the possession, sale, or distribution of any unauthorized substances at our schools, athletic facilities, events, or on school buses will be punished to the fullest extent and violators will be referred to local law enforcement. The health and safety of our students are our top priorities. Therefore, we are seeking the assistance of our parents, families, and community to help us protect our children from accidentally or intentionally ingesting dangerous substances.
